Talking Stick Resort Remains Closed As Repairs Continue
Talking Stick Resort has been closed for a week now, following last weekend’s flooding and evacuation. The hotel and casino was scheduled to reopen Sunday, but employees need more time to repair damage caused by heavy rains.
Talking Stick released a statement Friday night, saying the casino would remain closed as work continues. Resort staffers are contacting people who have upcoming reservations to either reschedule their stay or relocate them to another hotel.
The statement said in part:
“We apologize for this inconvenience. We greatly appreciate your patience as we diligently work toward resuming operations and are so grateful to everyone who is working hard to help us get up and running.”
Guests were evacuated last weekend when rain caused parts of the resort to flood and to lose power.
