The Fiesta Bowl has announced a six-year extension of its agreement with the College Football Playoff. Fiesta Bowl Executive director Mike Nealy says it’s a major accomplishment to stay in the rotation.

“We’re four years into it. We have two years left on our current agreement and six more years or another eight years being in the playoff is a big deal for us as an organization to continue doing what we do well.”

The agreement calls for the Fiesta Bowl to host college football playoff semifinal games in the 2022-23 and 2025-26 seasons. That means the fiesta bowl will have hosted semifinal playoff games four times in the first 12 years of the playoff system.
